After configuring the cluster, you can access ClustrixDB exactly as if it were a MySQL server. You can even use the mysql command line client, which is included on all nodes, to issue commands to the Clustrix DBMS.
For example, from an external computer with the mysql client installed, issue the following command:
You can now create a database, load some data, and start using your new cluster.
To initialize ClustrixDB stop writes to MyISAM tables, then create a dump of your MySQL database and import it into ClustrixDB.
The following command prepares a sample dump:
Copy the dump file to any ClustrixDB node in the /clustrix directory (you can use scp) and import it into the database using the Clustrix parallel import tool (clustrix_import).
For more details about dumping data, refer to the Backing Up the Database topic.
